Central Kenilworth Avenue Revitalization Community Development Corporation(CKAR)
CKAR is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that forms strategic partnerships to implement projects in our Greater Riverdale community including workforce training/job development, environmental sustainability, business retention, advocacy and economic and community development.
Prince George's County Housing and Community Development (DHCD)
The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) serves as the County chartered department responsible for the administration of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) entitlement programs, including Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), HOME and the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) at the local level.
Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and in approximately 70 countries. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat works toward building strength, stability, and self-reliance in partnership with families in need of decent and affordable housing. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.
Prince George's County Transforming Neighborhoods Initiative (TNI)
The Transforming Neighborhoods Initiative (TNI) is an effort by the county to focus on uplifting neighborhoods in the county that face significant economic, health, public safety, and educational challenges. Through this initiative, the county will improve the quality of life in those neighborhoods, while identifying ways to improve service delivery throughout the county for all residents.
