Parking Permit Program

The Parking Permit Program allows residents of the Town of Riverdale Park to park their vehicles on the street in some designated restricted areas. The program is governed by Town Code Chapter §64-13. The purpose of this program is to maximize the availability of parking for Riverdale Park residents while discouraging long-term parking on residential streets.

Parking permit placards must be visibly displayed while parked on-street in designated restricted areas. Please note that the parking permit program only applies to on-street parking and vehicles parked on private property, in a garage, or driveway do not require parking permits. The Riverdale Park Police Department will issue parking citations to any vehicles not in compliance with the parking permit program.    Parking permits are valid for two years.

The placards may be purchased at the Riverdale Park Police Department Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The cost is twenty-five dollars ($25) for two and fifty dollars ($50) for four; with a maximum of four per household. Replacement fee is $25 per placard. Payment is money order only. Please make money orders payable to the Town of Riverdale Park. You will need a valid photo ID, proof of residency, and a completed application form to obtain parking permit placards. The application can be retrieved on our website (Parking Permit application) or at the Riverdale Park Police Department.

Residents may also request up to ten (10) temporary visitor parking passes for larger gatherings such as holiday parties. Temporary visitor parking passes are available at the Police Department at any time (days, nights, and weekends) and are only valid for 24-hours.
