RECYCLING WILL NOT BE COLLECTED IF THE ITEMS TO BE RECYCLED ARE PLACED IN ANY TYPE OF PLASTIC BAG.
The majority of solid waste items can be recycled. This saves landfill space and natural resources. Paper-product recycling alone drastically decreases the volume of material that you contribute to the landfill. For more information regarding items that can be recycled please click here.
Residential recycling service is provided by Prince George's County or their chosen contractor and is collected throughout Town on Wednesdays. Recycling containers (blue) are issued by Prince George's County and must be curbside by 6:00 a.m. on collection day. If residents would like to use other containers they must be clearly marked with “Recycling” or “X”. To order a new or replacement recycling can, you must call Prince George's County Residential Recycling Program at 301-883-4748.
